R407A is a high-pressure refrigerant blend for equipment specifically designed and labeled for R407A. Review these requirements before ordering.

R407A is commonly used in commercial refrigeration, but equipment compatibility must be confirmed before charging.

  • Do not add R407A directly on top of R22, R404A, or another refrigerant.
  • A retrofit may require oil, seal, control, and expansion-device changes.
  • Record the completed refrigerant conversion on the equipment label.

Stationary refrigeration work should be performed by appropriately EPA Section 608-certified personnel.

  • Recover the existing charge completely before conversion.
  • Evacuate, leak-test, and weigh in the specified charge.
  • Do not intentionally vent refrigerant.
