Important R22 Product Information

R22 is a high-pressure refrigerant blend for equipment specifically designed and labeled for R22. Review these requirements before ordering.

This product is intended for servicing equipment specifically designed to operate with R22 refrigerant.

  • Do not add R22 to an R410A, R32, R407C, or other non-R22 system.
  • Never mix R22 with another refrigerant or treat it as a universal drop-in replacement.
  • Any retrofit should follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions and be evaluated by a qualified HVAC technician.

For stationary air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, the purchaser must be, or employ, an appropriately EPA Section 608-certified technician.

  • Adding, removing, recovering, or charging refrigerant should be performed by qualified personnel.
  • Use certified recovery equipment and do not intentionally vent R22.
  • Follow current federal, state, and local requirements.

The cylinder contains 30 lb (13.6 kg) net weight of R22 refrigerant. Verify all label information before use.

  • Confirm the label identifies the contents as HCFC-22 or R22.
  • Check the valve connection against the Specifications tab before ordering.

I was sincerely skeptical at this price but the order came in about 7 days. It was a normal 30lb R22 cylinder, full of R22. I had to hire an HVAC guy to do the install but my HVAC from 1973 is ice cold again until I can budget a new one.
